The only thing more quaint than the inn is its setting--the nineteenth-century German village of Maeystown. Just off scenic Bluff Road a few miles south of Columbia, Maeystown's original settlers were German immigrants in the 1850s. Today, the entire village is listed on the National Register of Historic Places--one of only a few villages in the State of Illinois to be so honored--with sixty significant structures. Visitors can enjoy visiting structures integrated into the landscape, as well as an engaging museum, a craft shop, a sweet shoppe, the general store, a year-round Christmas and antique shop, and a restaurant.

A Corner on Quaint Lodging
A frontier Victorian structure built in 1884, the Corner George Inn has seven painstakingly restored, antique-filled guest rooms with private baths, including a guest cottage, loft suite and a four room clawfoot tub whirlpool suite. Breakfast is served in an elegant 600-square-foot ballroom.
