Agnes Ross officially opened for business today in the historic Old Distillery (121 S. Main). The store sells plumbing fixtures and repair parts, gas lighting fixtures, and other products to "make your home a true sanctuary in a hectic world.""Just because a task is necessary," opines co-owner David Nobbe, "it doesn't necessarily have to be a chore." The store is named in honor of his grandmother, Agnes Ross Descher, the widow of a Columbia police officer killed in the line of duty and the family's beloved matriarch.
The Agnes Ross product lines include Delta and Kohler plumbing fixtures, Legendary Lighting gas and electric copper lanterns, Caldrea cleaning products, rugs by KHall Designs and others, Pine Cone Hill linens, The Laundress specialy laundry products, Kassatex organic bath linens, RainChains, and Flopping Fish architectural hardware.
In coming months, Agnes Ross will add product lines and launch an online store.
